Our main activity is riding and driving horses

We have a string of well broke horses which are ready to go at all times. Along with this, we have a group of colts that are at some level of training. You will see us starting some in the round pens, working them in the arena, or taking them out on the trails for the first time. You will not believe the way a colt will change in a week when worked properly and consistently by a group of people who all work together for a common goal. We work all our horses with the end market that that particular horse is suited for in mind at all times. Most weeks you will get to see some horses go back to customers and others come in to start their training.

Equipment

We ride western and we supply all of the equipment. We have a good selection of solid western and roping saddles. The only items which you will have to supply are raincoats, long sleeve shirts, hats, jeans, and boots with some heel. Helmets are optional.

Driving teams

We start all our colts in harness, custom train teams and drive teams of our own. We hook and drive all types of combinations from singles to four abreast or four up and drive them on wagons, sleighs, plows, discers, and harrows. We bring out our winter supply of wood with teams and saddle horses. There are more photos of teams lower on this page.

Special Events

Moonlight riding. Absolutely beautiful and exhilarating. Riding in the moonlight with northern lights dancing above you and nature right next to you. Ride up on a coyote catching mice or deer that are grazing.

Cattle drives

Every spring and fall in this area there are hundreds of head of cattle moved to and from the pastures. Picture perfect, early morning starts, long days in the saddle and the thrill of a cattle drive.

Other Activities
After supper most days your time is your own, rest up for the next day, sit around the campfire or get involved in what everyone else is doing. This could be anything from going for a swim, a hike, going riding, golfing, or resting so you can go moonlight riding. You can also book a river boat tour on the North Saskatchewan River. Up here in the summer, in Northern Canada, our days are long with only a few hours of darkness. If you plan on staying awake every daylight hour in June and July you are guaranteed to go home one tired puppy.	Click to enlarge
